Your average security devices have always been a bit boring, but check out this trick bit of a kit! As car thieves multiply, technology is advancing and security devices are becoming more and more high-tech.

This is the latest ATR-1 Biometric immobiliser device from ATRD – a fingerprint recognition immobiliser system. It uses the vehicle owner’s fingerprint to start the engine, has the ability to store up to 30 other drivers and can be used as a standalone immobiliser, or alongside existing or even OE security systems. The minute the door’s opened, the system prepares for scanning, your finger’s scanned and the car’s ready to start. The kits can be fitted at ATRD’s HQ in Coventry, or, for a limited time, they’ll come fit it to your car with no extra charge.
